Sweet and Spicey Seasoning/Rub

Sweet and Spicey Seasoning/Rub

Picture
Prep Time 15 minutes

Ingredients:

2 TBSP Cumin
2 TBSP Paprika (sweet if you have it)
2 TBSP Granulated Garlic
2 TBSP Granulated Onion
2 TBSP Chili Powder
2 TBSP Brown Sugar
2 TBSP Kosher Salt
2 TSP Cayenne Pepper
2 TSP Black Pepper
2 TSP White Pepper

Combine all the ingredients in a glass bowl and blend all the spices together. I usually do this by hand, using gloves. This way I can tell that there is no clumping and that the brown sugar mixed in well.

NOTE: If you want to reduce the spicy, you can add more brown sugar or reduce the cayenne pepper and chili powder. Adjust recipe according to your liking and taste.

Note: I make this amount so I can put in a shaker and have it available for many meals. If you want less, just reduce the measurements for each spice and make the quantity of what you want. The nice think about making this much though, It will cost less buying a spice rub or mix often, this way, you have it readily available any day you want.
